You can delete your own AncestryDNA® results at any time from your DNA Settings page. Deleting your DNA results is permanent and cannot be undone.
Start here
If you delete your test results, you will permanently lose your ability to view your origins, DNA matches, and all other AncestryDNA data related to your results. You will no longer appear as a DNA match to anyone else, and anyone with whom you’ve shared your DNA results will no longer be able to access your results. Once your test is deleted, you will no longer have the option to download your DNA Data.
If you'd like to keep your origins results but withdraw from seeing DNA matches and from appearing as a match to others, you can choose not to be listed as a match rather than deleting your results.
Deleting your DNA test will not affect your Ancestry® membership (if you have one). If after deleting your results, you’d like AncestryDNA results again in the future, you can always purchase and take another AncestryDNA test.
