Troubleshooting
Device not compatible: If you see a message in the App Store or Google Play Store that says the Ancestry app is not compatible with your mobile device, try checking for device updates (step 4). If your phone or tablet is up to date and you still see that message, the app will not install on that phone or tablet. Try accessing Ancestry from a recommended browser instead of from the app.
Unable to sign in: Try signing in to Ancestry using a recommended browser. If you can sign in to your Ancestry account using a browser, but not through the app, uninstall and reinstall the Ancestry app (step 5) and then try to sign in again. If you can’t sign in using the app or a browser, reset your password.
Turning auto sign in on or off (Android phone or tablet): Follow the steps here.
