You can fix relationship mistakes in your tree by disconnecting people from incorrect relationships and reconnecting them correctly. When you disconnect someone from a relationship, it does not delete them, but they may not appear in your family tree until you correctly reconnect them.
Duplicate people
If you have the same person in your tree more than once, see Merging Duplicate People to merge them.
Half relationships
Sometimes, in a family tree, a relationship is shown as “half,” like a half-sibling or half-aunt, when it should be a “whole” relationship. You can fix this by adding or connecting a second parent to the person labeled as a half-relative. Be careful not to create a new person as their parent; instead, choose them from your tree.
If someone is incorrectly listed as their parent, disconnect the wrong person and reconnect the correct person.
