- Go to Ancestry® and sign in.
If you don't have an Ancestry® account, create one for free.
- Click the DNA tab and select AncestryDNA or Buy Another Test from the drop-down menu.
- Choose a DNA kit and click Buy now to add it to your cart.
- If asked, select Buy Traits or Proceed to checkout.
- Click the - or + button to change the number of kits in your cart.
- If wanted, click Select add-ons and check the boxes next to any add-ons you want.
- Gift wrapping delivers the kit in neutral gift wrapping.
- Priority processing skips the DNA kit to the front of our lab processing queue to deliver DNA results faster.
- If you have a coupon, click Have a coupon?, enter the coupon code, and click Redeem.
- Select a payment method and enter your billing information.
- If the shipping address is the same as your billing address, skip this step. Otherwise, uncheck the box next to Ship & bill to same address and enter the shipping address. Multiple tests purchased in the same order will be sent to the same address. To send them to different addresses, create separate orders.
- Choose standard or expedited shipping.
- Standard shipping: Usually arrives within 10* working days, £9.99 for the first kit; £4.99 for each additional kit.
- Expedited shipping: Usually arrives within 3* working days, £19.99 for the first kit; £9.99 for each additional kit.

Didn't receive a kit you purchased
If you haven't received your kit and you purchased it at least 14 working days ago (or at least 5 working days ago if you purchased expedited shipping), please contact us for a free replacement kit.
Purchasing a kit as a gift
AncestryDNA kits can be gifted. The person who purchases a test does not need to be the person who takes it. You can have a kit sent to you and give it to someone else, or send it straight to someone else. For details, see Gifting an AncestryDNA® Kit.
Email saying you didn't complete your purchase
If you purchased a DNA kit and then received an email saying you didn't complete your order, it means you left an AncestryDNA kit in your cart. If you also received an email confirming your purchase and you don't want to purchase another DNA kit, you can ignore the email. If you didn't receive a confirmation email about your purchase, you'll need to return to Ancestry to complete your purchase.
