If you own a searchable tree, have DNA matches, or interact with other members, people will see either your username or your real name. You decide how you appear on Ancestry®.
Go to your personal profile
- Click Edit.
- In the menu that appears, select Real Name or Ancestry Username.
- Click Done.
You can also
update your real name or
change your Ancestry username.
