When you've set yourself as “who you are” in the tree, you can view your relationship with anyone in the tree from their profile page. Relationships in your tree are calculated based on the data from your tree and do not take any DNA results into account.
If you have more than one tree, you’ll need to set who you are for each tree.
- From any page on Ancestry, click the Trees tab and select a family tree.
- In the toolbar on the left, click More (three dots) and choose Tree Settings.
- On the right side of the Tree Settings page, under Who you are in this tree, click Choose. Or,
- To change “who you are,” click change.
- To remove the person marked as "you" without replacing them, click set to none.
- Start typing your name, then select it from the drop-down menu.
- Click Select.
