The research tools bar simplifies access to essential tools used for family history research on Ancestry.
When activated, on the profile pages of people in your tree above the LifeStory, Facts, Gallery, and Hints tabs, you’ll find quick access to these tools:
Turning the research tools bar on or off
- Go to someone's profile in your tree. (Click on a person in your tree, then click Profile in the opened card.)
- In the top-right corner, click Tools.
- Choose to show or hide the research tools bar.
- If checked, research tools are shown.
- If unchecked, research tools are hidden. Click Show Research Tools to make them visible.
